Duties of the Department Head Include: 

• Management of the maintenance, improvement and construction of roadways in the City of Conneaut.
• Upkeep of five city cemeteries.
• Implementation of a sidewalk improvement program.
• Tree removal and trimming.
• Maintenance of Public Works equipment.

 The Public Works Department repairs, maintains, paves, ditches, and grades all city roads. Other function of this department include:

• Management of leaf, snow and ice removal for City of Conneaut, Ohio.
• Maintenance of City Cemetaries.
• Replacement/Installation of culvert pipes and street signs.
• Maintenance and repair of ditches, storm sever lines, manholes, catch basins and traffic lights.
• Street Painting.
• Installation and repair of guardrails, trimming and removal of tree limbs stump removal and lawncare for all public right-of-ways and vacant lots.
